Dr. Michael Langer

Dr. Michael Langer is a seasoned IT leader with extensive experience in managing information technology and driving digital transformation across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Leiter IT Standort Essen and Geschäftsführer der IT at Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes since July 2019, Dr. Langer previously held senior IT roles at Landesbetrieb Straßenbau NRW and Outokumpu, where responsibilities included overseeing IT architecture and managing a global portfolio of IT projects. Dr. Langer's career also includes leadership positions at ThyssenKrupp Nirosta and project management roles at Betriebsforschungsinstitut VDEh and Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann. Educational qualifications include a doctorate in Electrical Engineering and Communication Technology from Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
