Carsten Sowa

Carsten Sowa is a seasoned logistics professional currently serving as Senior Director of Global Logistics at Diebold Nixdorf since May 2022, following a tenure as Director of Global Product Logistics. Previously, Carsten held the position of Head of Transport, Shipping & Goods Receiving at BASF from June 2014 to March 2022, overseeing site logistics operations. Earlier experience includes roles as Program Manager for Auto-ID and Project Manager in Supply Chain Management at Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services, respectively. Carsten's career began at IKEA Group as Goods Flow Manager and as a trainee in Supply Chain Management, along with a foundational experience as Reserveoffiziersanwärter in the Bundeswehr. Carsten holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from Fachhochschule Westküste, earned between 2000 and 2004.
