Philip Mac-Lean has a diverse work experience with various roles in finance and taxation. Philip joined DIF Capital Partners in 2019 as a Director Tax and was promoted to Senior Director Tax in November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at EY for 10 years, starting as a Tax Consultant/Manager in 2009 and progressing to the role of Senior Manager Tax - Netherlands Tax Desk. Before their time at EY, Philip worked at Fortis Bank, where they served as an Analyst in Acquisition and Leveraged Finance and also participated in the Associate Programme. Additionally, Philip has experience as an author for IBFD, contributing to the Investment Fund and Private Equity database on tax and regulatory treatment of investment funds. From 2012 to 2020, they also worked as an author for Sdu, specifically on the Nederlandse Documentatie Fiscaal Recht (NDFR).
Philip Mac-Lean attended Utrecht University from 1999 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law. Philip then went on to pursue a Master's degree in International Taxation at Utrecht University from 2005 to 2006. From 2010 to 2012, Philip attended the Beroepsopleiding Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs, during which time they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study.
