Alya al Zarouni

Alya Al Zarouni is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and governance within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), where roles have included Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Operations since August 2006. Responsibilities have spanned IT, procurement, administration, government relations, and corporate development, particularly overseeing critical client-facing departments such as the Government Service Office and Registry Services. Additional roles include Board Member at the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and previous experience as a System Analyst at the Emirates Group. Alya holds an MBA and a Bachelor in Computer Science from the American University of Sharjah, as well as a Master of Laws in International Business from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University.
