Dr. Carolyn Brown, DDS, MA has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare and oral health industries. From 2002 to 2008, they served as the Dental Director, Programs and Development for The Native American Health Center, Inc. In 2008, they began working as a Dentist and Dental Consultant for Dr. Carolyn Brown, DDS, MEd Healthcare Management Consultant. From 2012 to 2015, they were the Senior Strategic Advisor for CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, Secretary Board of Directors and Director Board of Directors for San Francisco Dental Society. In 2015, they founded Carolyn Brown and Associates, Inc., a consulting firm focusing on advancing robust, outcomes-driven growth and performance in health care for oral health companies and innovative dental plan design. In 2020, they became the Chief Strategic Officer, CFO and Co-Founder for DifferentKind. In 2022, they assumed the role of Strategic Advisor for MouthWatch.

Dr. Carolyn Brown, DDS, MA has a long and distinguished educational background. Dr. Carolyn completed their Bachelor of Science in Finance and Transportation from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. In 2012 and 2013, they obtained their Master's in Education with Post-Doctoral Dental Teaching Certificate from the University of the Pacific - Benerd College. In 1997 to 2001, they earned their Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland. In addition, they have obtained two certificates: a Certificate in Value-Based Care from Dartmouth College, Geisel School of Medicine in April 2015 and a Certificate in Post-Doctoral Dental and Distance-Based Teaching from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in May 2014.
