Julie Waechter is an accomplished professional in the field of water management and environmental policy. Currently serving as a member of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Julie provides crucial advice and recommendations on national drinking water programs. As Chief Program Officer and former interim co-CEO at DIGDEEP Water, Julie has played a pivotal role in leadership and program development since March 2020. With a robust background in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives at Lifewater International from 2008 to March 2020, Julie held various positions, including Deputy Director of Programs and Senior WASH Program Officer. Julie holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Davis.
