Ricardo Román has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Ricardo began their career at ITESM Campus Juárez, where they worked as a Support in the Department of Informatics from August 2011 to August 2012. Ricardo then joined TDE del Norte as a Redes y Servicios from May 2012 to October 2013. Following that, they worked at Transtelco as a R&D COOP from January 2014 to December 2014, and later as a Software Engineer from December 2014 to October 2015.

Ricardo then joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Svc Information Developer from October 2015 to April 2017. Ricardo continued their career at DXC Technology, initially as a Svc Information Developer from April 2017 to May 2018, and later as a Virtual Private Cloud Production Engineer from May 2018 to April 2019.

Most recently, Ricardo has been working at Digible, Inc. Ricardo started as a Software Engineer in April 2019 and was later promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer in May 2020.

Ricardo Román began their education in 2009 at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they obtained a degree in English and Spanish Translation Techniques. Ricardo then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Informatics at the same institution, which they completed in 2014. In 2016, Ricardo simultaneously pursued two master's degrees, one in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and the other in Information Technology from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Ricardo successfully completed both programs in 2018.

Alongside their formal education, Ricardo also obtained certifications in various fields. In 2016, they became a C Programming Language Certified Associate from the C++ Institute. In 2017, they attained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification through Amazon, in partnership with Alpine Testing Solutions. Additionally, they completed a Diplomado en Técnicas de Traducción Inglés - Español from CDI - ITESM, although the specific timeframe of obtaining this certification is unknown.
