Virek Maharaj is an accomplished software development professional with extensive experience in leading development teams and software engineering across various companies. Currently serving as Development Team Lead at Digicall Group since November 2021, Virek has previously held roles at Prosense Technology, where responsibilities included maintaining and enhancing C# Desktop clients, and at Entelect, where experience was gained in writing C code, BASH, SQL, and working within a SCRUM agile environment. Earlier roles include a Junior Engineer position at Denel Dynamics, contributing to Linux systems and virtual machines, as well as experience as a vacation student at Denel Dynamics, where Virek implemented missile-target simulation and Differential GPS systems. Virek holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2013.
