Derek Smith

Derek Smith is an experienced production management professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Assistant Production Manager at DiGiCo since March 2023, Derek previously held the role of Production Team Leader at LumiraDx from August 2020 to March 2023. Prior to that, Derek spent 18 years at Michelin, where roles included Department Manager, responsible for a team of Shift Operations Managers, and Production Team Manager, overseeing 35 operators and coaching new managers. Beginning as a Production Operator, Derek's career is characterized by a strong emphasis on operational control and team management. Education was completed at Whitfield High School between 1988 and 1992.
