Ramona Marfievici

Principal Engineer - Iot at Digital Catapult

Ramona Marfievici has extensive work experience in the field of IoT engineering. Ramona started their career as a SQL developer at AROBS Transilvania Software in 2007 and worked there until 2010. Following that, they joined the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca as a lecturer and researcher from 2002 to 2010. Ramona then moved to Università di Trento as a teaching assistant from 2011 to 2015. After that, they worked as a senior researcher at Nimbus Research Centre from 2015 to 2019. Ramona then joined Digital Catapult, where they held various roles, including engineer, senior engineer, lead engineer, and currently serves as the principal engineer for IoT. Alongside their job, Ramona also served as a member of the IoT/1 Committee at the British Standards Institution Training Academy starting from 2021. Additionally, they also served as a member of the SBWT5B PhD fellowship panel at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO starting in 2020.

Ramona Marfievici holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Information and Communication Technology from Università di Trento. Prior to that, they completed their M.Sc. in Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca. Ramona Marfievici also attended Avram Iancu High School from 1993 to 1997, although the degree and field of study for high school are not provided.
