Mark Shifke has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Mark began their career at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where they worked as a Partner from 1993 to 1997. Mark then moved on to Big Flower Capital Corp, where they served as a Managing Director from 1997 to 1999. After that, they joined KPMG US as a Principal from 1999 to 2002.
Shifke then transitioned to Goldman Sachs, where they worked as a Vice President from 2002 to 2007. Mark then joined JPMorgan Chase as a Managing Director from 2007 to 2011. Following their time at JPMorgan Chase, Shifke joined Green Dot Corporation, where they held two roles. Mark served as the CFO from 2015 to 2019 and as the SVP Corporate Strategy, M&A from 2011 to 2019.
In 2020, Shifke joined Billtrust as the Chief Financial Officer, and they held this position until 2023. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Digital Currency Group, where they have been working since July 2023.
Mark Shifke attended Tulane University from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. Mark then pursued their Juris Doctor (JD) at Tulane University Law School from 1981 to 1984. Mark furthered their education at New York University School of Law from 1985 to 1990, specializing in Tax Law/Taxation and obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree. Additionally, in 1979 and 1980, Mark studied Public Policy Analysis at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
