Charlie Berman has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Charlie is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of agora - digital capital markets, a position they have held since September 2018. Prior to this, Charlie worked as an Independent Capital Markets advisory at Independent Capital Markets from September 2018 to June 2019.
Charlie also has a long-standing tenure at Barclays Investment Bank, where they served as the MD and Head of Public Sector Global Finance - Europe, Middle East & Africa from September 2011 to September 2018. Before joining Barclays, they were a Founding Partner at Amias Berman & Co LLP from June 2009 to August 2011.
Charlie's earlier experiences include working as a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup from 1990 to 2008, a Director at Merrill Lynch from 1988 to 1990, a Director at Citicorp Investment Bank Ltd from December 1985 to December 1987, a Vice President at Bank of America International Ltd from June 1983 to November 1985, and a Pro Assistant Cashier - Assistant Manager at Bank of America NT&SA from September 1980 to May 1983.
Charlie Berman attended Bodmin Grammar School from 1970 to 1973 and then went on to study at Hampton School from 1973 to 1977. After completing their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) degree at The University of Manchester, graduating in 1980. The field of study for their LLB Hons degree was Law.
