Aparna Mepani

Aparna Mepani is a seasoned visual effects artist with extensive experience in character effects and technical direction. Currently serving as a Senior CFX Artist at Digital Domain since May 2025, Aparna previously held the position of Lead Creature Technical Director at Industrial Light & Magic from May 2017 to June 2025, contributing to notable projects such as "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," "Deadpool," and "Wolverine." Previous roles include Senior Cloth/Hair TD at Method Studios and Senior Cloth/Hair TD at Sony Pictures Imageworks, where Aparna worked on films like "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass." Earlier career milestones include leadership in CFX at Dreamworks Animation and foundational roles in character rigging and as a 3D generalist at various studios. Aparna's educational background includes a degree in Computer Animation from Sheridan College and studies at the Rhode Island School of Design.
