Diego Piccinato has a diverse work experience in the field of visual effects and computer graphics. Diego started their career as a Compositing Instructor at Vancouver Film School in 2011. Diego then worked as a Compositor at MPC from 2010 to 2012. After that, they held the position of Senior Compositor at Prime Focus for a few months in 2012.

Diego then joined Scanline VFX as a Lead Compositor from September 2012 to December 2013. Diego continued their career at Industrial Light & Magic as a Lead Compositor from January 2014 to May 2015. Diego briefly worked as a Senior Compositor at RISE | Visual Effects Studios in 2015 before moving to Digital Domain 3.0, where they served as a Lead Compositor from September 2015 to August 2016.

Diego further gained experience at Industrial Light & Magic as a Lead Compositor from September 2016 to June 2020. Most recently, they worked as a Pipeline Developer at Scanline from November 2020 to May 2021. Currently, Diego is employed as a Software Engineer at Digital Domain, starting in May 2021.

Diego Piccinato began their education journey in 2002 at the Università degli Studi di Udine, where they pursued a degree in Web & Multimedia Technologies, specializing in Computer Science. Diego remained at the university until 2008, completing their studies in this field. In 2009, Diego enrolled in the Vancouver Film School, where they focused on 3D Animation & VFX. This program lasted for a year, concluding in 2010.
