H. Jacob Hanchar, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. H. Jacob is currently serving as the CEO, Co-founder, and Executive Chairman of Digital Dream Labs, where they lead a team to revolutionize the way people think about and interact with technology. H. Jacob believes that video games can be educational tools and that robots can be companions. Prior to this, they and their wife took over Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor and ensured its preservation and success. In addition, Dr. Hanchar owned and operated River Hill Coal Company, a bituminous coal mining operation, from 2006 to 2015. H. Jacob has also worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh and Rosalind Franklin University, and as a Graduate Researcher at UCLA.

H. Jacob Hanchar, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. H. Jacob completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Latin, at Penn State University from 1998 to 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued their passion for neuroscience and enrolled at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience between 2002 and 2007. During the same period, they also pursued studies in Medical and Molecular Pharmacology and received a Ph.D. from UCLA. Later, from 2010 to 2013, they attended Carnegie Mellon University and earned a Masters degree in Business Administration with a focus on Business Administration. Dr. Hanchar's educational journey demonstrates their commitment to interdisciplinary learning and their ability to excel in both scientific and business fields.
