Gautier de Souza

Gautier de Souza has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Gautier started their career at Monte Cristo as a Game/Level Designer, where they worked on the design and integration of new classes, skills, and craft systems for the game Silverfall: Earth Awakening. Gautier also handled level design, quests, and map integration, as well as balance adjustments for encounters, bestiary, equipment, and NPCs.

In 2007, Gautier joined Virtools as a Developer/Designer, where they were involved in the design and development of various tech demos and interactive applications. Gautier also managed outsourcing and played a key role in the creation of a specific Tech Demo for Siggraph '08.

After that, Gautier joined DONTNOD Entertainment as a Game/Level Designer, specializing in lead technical design. Gautier contributed to the development of games and level design, including working on projects such as Remember Me and Adrift.

In 2012, Gautier moved to Eidos-Montréal as a Senior Technical Level Designer, where they focused on designing and implementing levels for games.

From 2015 to 2017, Gautier worked at Ubisoft as a Technical Design Director, overseeing the technical design aspects of game development.

Most recently, Gautier has been working at DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE AB) since 2017. Gautier started as a Senior Technical Designer and progressed to Lead Technical Designer, Associate Technical Design Director, and currently holds the position of Technical Design Director.

Throughout their career, Gautier has gained extensive experience in technical design, level design, game design, and project management in the gaming industry.

Gautier de Souza completed their education in a chronological order as follows. From 2000 to 2005, they attended Paris-Pantheon-Assas University and earned a Master's degree in Law and Political Science. Then, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued their interest in Game Design by attending ISART DIGITAL Paris, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in the field.
