Dan Hallstrom has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dan started their career as an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University, where they developed a research program in quantitative economics. Following this, they worked as an Outside Econometric Consultant at EconOne Research, where they conducted econometric analysis for fraudulent advertising cases.
Hallstrom then transitioned into the energy industry, joining Ascend Analytics as a Manager of Quantitative Analytics. In this role, they led the complete analytic pipeline and implemented portfolio management and commercial operations solutions for Fortune 500 energy companies. After eight years at Ascend Analytics, Hallstrom joined PRICE WATERHOUSE COOPER as a Director. Here, they focused on business development and engagement in the Data and Analytics Hub, working on predictive maintenance solutions and risk analysis for energy assets.
In 2017, Hallstrom joined eLynx Technologies as a Director of Analytics. During their tenure, they were responsible for the analytic architecture and development of machine learning algorithms to detect and classify negative events in oil and gas wells.
Currently, Hallstrom is serving as the Director of Data and Analytics at Digital Intent.
Dan Hallstrom earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Economics from Montana State University in 1991. Dan then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Economics from Montana State University from 1993 to 1995. Dan further continued their education at the University of California at Davis from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural and Resource Economics.
