Elena Deleyto La Cruz

Elena Deleyto La Cruz has worked in the field of media and education since 2010. In 2010, they began working as an English Teacher for Kids and Us, where they taught English language to children from 1 to 14 and prepared them for official examinations. In 2011, they began working as a Freelance Translator for Autónoma. In 2013, they became a co-founder and manager of the non-profit publishing house Editorial Garbuix, where they were responsible for contacting authors, finding relevant texts, copy editing, translation, and distribution of published materials. In 2016, they joined Digital Learning Associates as Head of Content and Producer. In this role, they were responsible for designing strategies for delivering English through media and technology, managing a team of freelance collaborators and internal workers, producing learning design, syllabus alignment, education content and video production, scriptwriting, ELT materials writing, and project management. Elena also had the opportunity to deliver workshops at major international events.

Elena Deleyto La Cruz has a diverse educational background. Elena obtained their Masters in Professional Translation from Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2016. In 2012, they earned a Máster en Desarrollo de Proyectos from ESCAC - Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya, with a focus on Film. In 2011, they completed a Posgrado en Guión de Largometraje from the same school. In 2006-2010, they obtained a Licenciatura en Comunicación Audiovisual from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, with a focus on Screenwriting. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Certificate A2 Noruego from Institut Nòrdic in 2016, a Curso de Traducción Literaria from CÁLAMO&CRAN: profesionales del lenguaje in 2014, a Certificate of Proficiency in English from Cambridge Assessment in 2009, and a Catalán C1 from Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística.
