Yazmin Herrera

Yazmin Herrera is the Chief Program Officer of Curriculum at Digital NEST. Yazmin has over seven years of experience working in the non-profit sector with a focus on youth programs and social media. Prior to joining Digital NEST, Ms. Herrera worked as a Project Assistant at the American Institutes for Research where they supported the research process in survey design and methodology, data collection, and parsing through large data sets to maintain quality and consistency. Yazmin also worked on the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs where they helped improve the social marketing strategy used throughout YE4C’s online presence with the purpose of promoting youth engagement and Pathways for Youth. In addition, Ms. Herrera has interned at the U.S. Department of Education in the Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. There they supported and assisted in the development and dissemination of technical assistance resources and materials including designing publications, managing maintenance and updating the website, and coordinating and moderating webinars as well as other content sharing modalities. Ms. Herrera holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Sacramento.

Yazmin Herrera has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Yazmin is certified from Coursera in Internet Yazmin'story, Technology, and Security.
