Karen Govender

Karen Govender has extensive experience in logistics and warehousing management. Karen worked as the Head of Logistics and Warehousing at Digital Planet since April 2022. In this role, they strategically managed 3rd parties and transportation companies, handled inventory management and control, defined metrics for operational processes, and closely monitored operational costs. Prior to this, Karen held the position of Logistics and Reverse Logistics Manager at Digital Planet from August 2017 to April 2022. Karen recommended optimal service levels, established logistical performance measurement systems, and implemented logistics management systems to meet business requirements. Karen also served as a Warehouse Manager at Tellumat from May 2017 to July 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked at Avroy Shlain Cosmetics as an Outbound Consultant in early 2017 and at Glocell in various roles, including Operations Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Warehouse Assistant from 2003 to 2016. Karen started their career as a Shop Assistant at Compu Café in 2002.

Karen Govender earned a Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika between 2011 and 2012. Karen then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management at the same university from 2017 to 2022.
