Jared Baker is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture and informatics. Currently serving as the Lead Cloud Architect at the Digital Research Alliance of Canada since October 2024, Jared previously worked at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research from August 2016 to September 2024, contributing significantly as a Cloud Architect for the Cancer Genome Collaboratory, which utilizes OpenStack and Ceph for global cancer research. Jared's earlier roles include Infrastructure Specialist at TVO and various positions at Q9 Networks, where responsibilities ranged from development and support to data center operations. Jared's academic background includes studies at St. Lawrence College.
