Christian Herzog

Chief Portfolio Officer at Digital Science

Christian Herzog is the Chief Portfolio Officer at Digital Science. Christian has held this position since March 2013. Prior to that, they were the VP of SciVal Product Management at Elsevier from June 2010 to March 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the product strategy and implementation of Elsevier's performance and planning suite of solutions for academic research administration and government solutions. Christian also integrated a grown portfolio of products of independent and acquired products into one consistent product. The result of these efforts was launched in January 2014 as the integrated "SciVal - the new generation".

Before their time at Elsevier, Herzog worked at UberResearch GmbH and Dimensions. Christian has been praised by Outsell's Rich Kreisman for their work on the new SciVal, with Kreisman calling it "...an extremely simple user interface [that] elegantly allows users to create and share insightful charts, graphs, and diagrams in a way that prior versions of SciVal did not."
