Established in 2009, Digital Theatre is the online home of over 200 (and growing) performances of world-class theatre. In 2011, Digital Theatre's flagship educational platform Digital Theatre+ was launched, providing institutions around the world with access to productions and educational resources to support the study of performing arts and dramatic texts. 

Today, Digital Theatre+ provides over 3,000 institutions around the world with unlimited access to thousands of full-length productions and educational resources. Harnessing the power of technology and the passion of like-minded people, we want to put live performance into the hands of every student, and into every classroom and library, accompanied by a range of invaluable educational resources for illustration, explanation, and critical reflection.

The Technology Team at Digital Theatre is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's digital platforms, including Digital Theatre+. Led by the Director of Technology, the team ensures seamless streaming and accessibility of theatrical performances and educational resources. The Full Stack Software Developer creates and updates the software that powers the platform, while the Application and IT Support specialist ensures technical stability and provides customer support to institutions worldwide. In essence, this team ensures that Digital Theatre+ is a robust, reliable, and user-friendly resource for students and educators globally.
