Carys Whomsley has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Carys started their career as a Mini-pupil at 4 Breams Buildings in February 2014. From December 2017 to April 2019, they worked as an Analyst, Europe & North America at S-RM - Corporate Intelligence, Crisis Management & Cyber Security. Carys then joined Digitalis in April 2019 as a Digital Risk Analyst and later became an Associate Director in December 2020. From November 2021 to April 2022, they served as the Associate Director, Head of Research & Thought Leadership, focusing on digital risk. Currently, they hold the position of Director (Digital Risk) at Digitalis since April 2022.
Carys Whomsley has a varied education history. They pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in French and Russian from UCL. Afterward, they attended The University of Manchester where they obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations. Carys also participated in an overseas university exchange program at École normale supérieure de Lyon, focusing on French Language and Literature. They further expanded their academic experience by studying at Saint Petersburg State University, specializing in the Department of International Relations. Prior to their higher education, Carys attended HSDC Alton for their high school education, earning 520 UCAS points.
Additionally, Carys completed the ICA Diploma in Governance Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association in March 2023. They also obtained the Certified Forensic Investigation Practitioner (CFIP) certification from 7Safe in February 2020.
