Matt Gelb is currently the CFO at Digital Onboarding. Prior to this, they were the co-founder, COO, and CFO at Palolo for 7 months. Before that, they worked at Ceros for 7 years and 9 months as an advisor and Chief Financial Officer. Matt was responsible for leading the Finance, HR, Business and Revenue Operations, Legal and Partnerships functions of the business. During their tenure at Ceros, they found product market fit, built the executive team, raised over $40M in equity and debt financing, executed their first acquisitions and grew the company from under 20 to over 200 people while growing the revenue base by >10x.
Before Ceros, Matt worked at Ziff Brothers Investments for 3 years and 3 months as an Associate in the ZBI Ventures group and as an Analyst in the Private Markets Group. At ZBI, they sourced, performed due diligence on, negotiated, executed and managed private equity investments up and down the capital structure across a number of different industries.
Prior to ZBI, Matt worked as a Leveraged Finance Credit Strategist at UBS Investment Bank, where they were Head of US Leveraged Finance Strategy and Global Credit Strategist. Matt published weekly credit market research, investment strategies and trade recommendations across credit indices, CDS, corporate debt, equities and options.
Matt Gelb attended Columbia University - Columbia Business School, where they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2014. Matt was involved in the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, Columbia Student Investment Management Association, Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization, Healthcare Industry Association, and Energy Club while they were a student. Matt also played rugby for the school's team. Prior to attending Columbia, Gelb went to Brown University where they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 2006. Matt majored in Engineering and Economics and was involved in the Rugby Football Club and Sigma Chi fraternity while they were a student.
