Ken Van Cleave

Ken Van Cleave is the current Director of Software Engineering at DigitalOptometrics. Ken has over 20 years of experience in the optical industry, developing software and solutions with the unique ability to look at problems and solutions from the perspective of a Master Optician. Ken is the author of Visual Lab Pro lab management software, and many other optical related software programs currently in use nationally and internationally. Prior to their current position, Ken was the Owner/Manager of KVC Software Services, and a Senior Ophthalmic Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer (contract work) at National Optronics.

Ken Van Cleave has a background in computer programming, ophthalmic laboratory technology/technician, and business administration and management. Ken has a 4.0 GPA from University of California, San Diego and Tyler Junior College. Ken also has a degree from Abilene Christian University and Tarleton State University in business administration and management. Ken has also completed postagraduate coursework in contact lens technology from Baylor College of Medicine and Scott and White Memorial Hospital. Ken is certified by CompTIA as a CompTIA A+ Certified Professional and by the American Board of Opticianry as a Master in Ophthalmic Optics. Ken also has a Diploma of Refractometry from the Opticians Association of America.

Their manager is Howard S. Fried, President. They are on a team with Darlene P. Cettina - Chief Financial Officer, Lacey Dustin Bedoy - Regulatory & Clinical Compliance Officer, and Charles Dowalo - Chief Information Officer.
