Matthew Cort has worked in the IT industry since 2010. In 2010, they began working as a Computer Technician for TEKsystems. In 2013, they became a Desktop Support Technician for The Midtown Group, where they provided primary on-site services for 6 locations totaling over 1600 machines across a range of administrative levels. In 2016, they moved to Centennial Technologies as a Desktop Support Technician Tier 2, where they provided on-site desktop support to the end-users and served as primary liaison with vendors to provide services according to established SLA's. In 2019, they joined Resource Management Concepts, Inc. as a Linux System Administrator, providing server support for Multi-classification Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructures and Red team back-end support and account management. Most recently, in 2020, they began working as an Infrastructure Support Engineer for Dignari, LLC, providing infrastructure and configuration support for client and server-based applications, network, and application administration on Linux and Solaris servers, and IT support for day-to-day operations, infrastructure, and configuration management.

Matthew Cort attended Prince George's Community College from 2004 to 2008, where they earned an Associate's degree in Computer Engineering. Matthew then attended Capitol Technology University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In 2018, they obtained a Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification from Red Hat. In 2019, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA.
