Piet Smet

Piet Smet has held various roles throughout their work experience. Piet began their career as a PhD Researcher at Universiteit Gent, where they worked from August 2012 to October 2017. Following this, Piet joined Dignitas as a Content Manager in February 2007 and continued in this role without a specified end date. During their time at Dignitas, Piet significantly increased the team's audience between 2011 and 2014. Most recently, Piet worked at cleverbridge, where they held the positions of Tracking Web Analyst/Integration Specialist from November 2017 to March 2020, Technical Lead of Technical Services from March 2020 to November 2020, and currently serves as a Product Owner since November 2020.

Piet Smet has a strong education background in the field of Information Engineering Technology. Piet obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Ghent University, where they studied from 2012 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Software Engineering from HOGENT in 2012 and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the same institution from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Piet has obtained certifications such as Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org in June 2021 and a Doctor of Information Engineering Technology from Universiteit Gent in January 2020.
