Stefano Borghi

Stefano Borghi is an experienced technology leader with more than 25 years of expertise in software development, innovation, and IT management. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Dilaxia, formerly known as NSI Nier Soluzioni Informatiche, following the company’s rebranding in 2023. In this role, he is responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology strategy, ensuring full alignment with business objectives and long-term growth.

At Dilaxia, Stefano leads development and innovation teams, oversees system architecture and technology decisions, and promotes the adoption of cutting-edge solutions that guarantee efficiency, security, and scalability. His leadership combines a strategic vision with operational excellence and a strong focus on innovation.

From 2002 to 2023, Stefano played a central role in NSI, initially as Co-founder and Project Manager, and later as Chief of Software Factory. During this period, he directed software development operations, defined organizational goals, managed resources across projects and products, coordinated project managers, and supervised product evolution in close collaboration with product management teams. His contribution was key to the company’s transformation and its eventual evolution into Dilaxia.

Before co-founding NSI, Stefano worked at NIER Ingegneria as a Software Analyst and Developer, where he gained significant experience in software design, installation, testing, and maintenance. This technical foundation provided him with the skills and mindset to grow into leadership roles that balance technological expertise with business strategy.

Stefano’s educational background is distinctive: he holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy with highest honors (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Bologna, and pursued a specialization in Philosophy of Science at the École normale supérieure in Paris. Earlier, he earned an Industrial Engineering Diploma (60/60) from the Enrico Fermi Technical Institute in Mantua.

This rare combination of humanities and engineering has shaped his unique approach to leadership — analytical, visionary, and centered on both rigorous logic and creative problem-solving.

Throughout his career, Stefano has been passionate about bridging technology and business, fostering innovation, and developing scalable systems that deliver tangible value to organizations. Today, as CTO of Dilaxia, he continues to explore how emerging technologies can transform industries and support sustainable growth.
