DiMella Shaffer
Peter Niels Heller is an experienced designer with a strong architectural background, currently serving as a Designer at DiMella Shaffer since March 2022. Heller has held various academic and professional positions, including Critic at Rhode Island School of Design, where hands-on workshops for building technology were developed, and Staff Designer at AW–ARCH, focusing on presentations and models for diverse building projects. Heller's experience includes contributions to numerous residential projects at EvB Design, instructing digital fabrication at RISD, and internships focused on architectural design. In addition to architectural roles, Heller has significant leadership experience in analytics and engineering, previously directing teams at Optum Analytics, Qualcomm Atheros, and Lantiq, along with extensive contributions to IC design and signal processing at Aware, Inc. Heller holds a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Princeton University.
