Monica Laronda

Monica is Director of Basic and Translational Research for the Fertility & Hormone Preservation & Restoration Program at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She is the Warren & Eloise Batts Scholar at Lurie Children's and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine. Her main research objective is to develop a personalized transplant that will support systemic hormone function and restore fertility. Monica earned her Ph.D. from Northwestern University, where she also completed her postdoctoral studies. She was awarded the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for her postdoctoral work in Dr. Teresa Woodruff's lab on developing a 3D-printed engineered ovary.
