Thagu Vivek

Thagu Vivek has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Thagu started their career in 1992 at Applied Automation Technologies Inc as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for designing and supporting a quality engineering application. Thagu was later promoted to Project Manager and took on multiple responsibilities such as customer liaison, application engineer, and software team leader. Thagu was also actively involved in marketing activities, including demos and system designs for customers, as well as implementing and training the system at customer sites.

In 2000, Thagu joined Dimensional Control Systems as a Product Manager, where they worked until the present. Thagu recently transitioned to the role of Director - Quality Data Management (QDM) Solutions. Thagu'sresponsibilities in this role are ongoing.

In 2017, Thagu served as the President of the Project Management Institute - Great Lakes Chapter. Thagu had previously held various positions within the chapter, including VP, Administration and Volunteer Director.

Additionally, in 2019, Thagu worked as the Director Volunteer Promotion at PMI Great Lakes Chapter.

Thagu Vivek has an extensive education history in the fields of Program Management Professional, Quality, Corporate Strategy, and Mechanical Engineering. In 1989, they received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology. Thagu then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, which they completed in 1992. Thagu further enhanced their expertise in Quality Control by obtaining a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society of Quality (ASQ). In 2005, Thagu completed their MBA in Corporate Strategy from Oakland University. Continuing their focus on quality, they obtained certifications in Six Sigma Black Belt Engineering from the American Society of Quality Control in 2006 and the American Society of Quality in 2007. Additionally, Thagu received a PgMP certification in Program Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2009.
