Robin Thompson

Robin Thompson, CIMA, has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several companies. They started as a Regional Marketing Director at The Hartford/Planco in 1994 and later moved on to become a Divisional Sales Manager at Hartford Mutual Funds in 1999. At Hartford Mutual Funds, Robin led a team of advisor consultants, partnered with financial advisors, sold funds sub advised by Wellington Management, and served as a member of the Mutual Fund Advisory Board.

In 2004, Robin became a Divisional Vice President at Hartford Leaders, Director, and Mutual Funds, where they held the position until 2008. Following this, Robin joined Highland Capital Management, L.P. as a Managing Director in 2013. After two years, they moved on to become Head of Financial Institutions Group Distribution at Dimensional Fund Advisors in 2015, where Robin currently holds this position.

Throughout their career, Robin has gained extensive experience in financial institutions, distribution, sales management, and marketing, showcasing their expertise and dedication in the field.

Robin Thompson attended Vanderbilt University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Political Science and History. Additionally, they have obtained the CIMA certification from the Investment Management Consultants Association.
