Ermias Aytenfisu

Ermias Aytenfisu currently serves as an Interventional Neuroradiology Fellow at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen since August 2021, while also holding positions as a Vascular and General Neurologist at both University of Maryland Capital Region Health and Suburban Hospital since August 2019. Previously, Ermias directed the Primary Stroke Center at Howard University Hospital from October 2015 to October 2019 and served as an Assistant Professor and Neurology Clerkship & Course Director. Additional experience includes roles as a Stroke Neurologist at Bon Secours Health System and a Neurohospitalist at Holston Valley Medical Center. The medical career began with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Jimma University, followed by various fellowships and residencies in neurology and neurocritical care across prestigious institutions.
