Michele Best

Michele Best has extensive experience in laboratory management and leadership roles. Michele began their career as a Laboratory Director at Howard University Hospital, where they implemented new laboratory systems and automation. Michele then worked as a Global Health Consultant, providing technical assistance and mentoring to laboratory officials in various countries. Michele also published an article on strengthening laboratory networks in Africa. Currently, they serve as the Corporate Director for Laboratories at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health, where they lead LIS and IT efforts and drives change to improve quality and reduce costs.

Michele Best completed post-graduate studies in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology at Kent State University from 1972 to 1973. Following this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Biology from the same institution.
