Amit Hitkari

Amit Hitkari has extensive work experience in the transport industry, with a focus on large-scale urban transport projects. Amit began their career in 1989 as a Project Manager at Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, where they later advanced to the position of Senior Project Manager. In 2011, Amit joined Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS), starting as an Assistant General Manager and progressing to roles of increasing responsibility, including Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and most recently, Associate Vice President. Throughout their tenure at DIMTS, Amit has been involved in various projects such as transforming bus systems, advising on project planning, and developing IT solutions. Notably, they have led teams in implementing urban transit solutions and integrating transit-oriented products/services. Amit's expertise and leadership have made significant contributions to the success of these projects.

Amit Hitkari has a Master's Degree in Computer Aided Design and Machining from the Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Amit also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the BIT Mesra Student-Industry Relations Cell, where they studied from 1984 to 1988.
