Daniel Håkansson

Daniel Homer is currently serving as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023, having previously held the position of Security Engineer II at the same company. Prior experience includes the role of Blockchain Security Engineer at Coinbase from January 2022 to January 2023, focusing on blockchain and smart contract auditing, as well as on-chain monitoring and incident response. Daniel also worked as an Assistant Instructor in Cybersecurity at the University of Toronto from December 2020 to March 2022 and as a Security Analyst at Hydro One from October 2019 to January 2022, where responsibilities included supply-chain cyber risk management and vendor risk assessments. Earlier experience includes roles as a Security Engineer at EWA-Canada from September 2017 to October 2019. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Computer Science with a focus on Computer and Internet Security and a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University, completed in 2017.
