Bill Watson

Bill Watson serves as the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Camden since October 2013, overseeing the Office of Catholic Schools that supports 28 elementary and 6 diocesan high schools. Key responsibilities include guiding educational leaders in fostering Gospel values, providing strategic direction for Catholic education in South Jersey, and implementing the diocese's strategic plan. Prior roles include Director of Curriculum and Assessment, where Bill partnered with the University of Notre Dame to enhance curriculum and professional development across diocesan schools. Bill also holds an adjunct faculty position at the University of Notre Dame, facilitating leadership development for emerging Catholic school leaders. Previous experience includes serving as Chief of Learning Experiences and Evaluation at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History and Education Director at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center. Bill earned an Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from The George Washington University and has a strong background in educational research, program development, and leadership training.
