Kiona Medina

Kiona Medina is an experienced professional specializing in social justice and expressive arts. Currently serving as the Social Justice Coordinator for the Diocese of Oakland since December 2023, Kiona also works as an Expressive Arts Consultant/Trainer for the Homeless Children's Network since March 2018 and as a Kidpower Teacher/Facilitator for Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International since January 2014. Previous roles include Youth Minister at St. Mary's Catholic Church from October 2021 to November 2023, Community Wellness Coordinator at West Contra Costa Unified - Downer Elementary from August 2019 to September 2021, and Expressive Arts Family Therapist at Bay Area Community Resources from September 2017 to August 2020. Kiona's educational background includes a degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Art Education with a focus on Fine Art and Animation from San Francisco State University.
