Jennifer Trefelner, APR, CPRC has extensive experience in communications and marketing roles. Jennifer has worked as the Director of Communications and Development at the Diocese of Palm Beach since October 2021. In this role, they are responsible for managing media inquiries, public relations, and new marketing initiatives. Jennifer also serves as the spokesperson for the Diocese. Prior to this, Jennifer was the Director of Communications, Marketing, & Social Media at the Diocese of Palm Beach from July 2018 to November 2021. In this role, they oversaw the production of various communication materials, managed the Diocesan website and social media sites, and kept the community informed of diocesan initiatives.
Jennifer also worked as an Adjunct Consultant at Catholic School Management from April 2015 to May 2020, where they provided consulting services. Jennifer also worked as an Online Communications Consultant at the Office of Catholic Schools, for the Diocese of Palm Beach from August 2015 to August 2018. Jennifer has experience in journalism as well, having worked as an Arts & Entertainment Reporter at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK from October 2010 to August 2018.
Earlier in their career, Jennifer served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at John Carroll High School from October 2003 to August 2018. Jennifer also briefly held the position of Acting Executive Director at the Arts & Cultural Alliance of St. Lucie from June 2011 to December 2011.
Jennifer Trefelner, APR, CPRC completed their Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University between 1999 and 2002. Prior to that, they attended John Carroll High School, although the details of their studies there are not provided. Jennifer also holds several additional certifications. In 2010, they obtained their Accreditation in Public Relations (PR) from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). In 2014, they became a Certified Public Relations Counselor through the FPRA as well. Jennifer has also completed the Crisis Communication Certificate Program offered by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in December 2019. Additionally, they have earned the edX Verified Certificate for Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles from edX in March 2021. In April 2021, Jennifer attended the NCEA 2021 Conference - "Ignited for Transformation - United in Community - Inspired by Faith" hosted by the GlobalED Foundation. Lastly, in June 2023, they completed the University of Notre Dame, Alliance for Catholic Education: Reform Leaders' Summit organized by the Alliance for Catholic Education.
