Father Brian Alford

Vicar For Clergy, Consecrated Life And Vocations at Diocese of Springfield in Illinois

Father Brian Alford serves as the Vicar for Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations and the Director of the Office for Vocations for the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois since August 2013. In addition, Father Alford has been the Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception since July 2020 and the Pastor of the Church of St. Jude since July 2016. Previous roles include Chaplain at St Anthony High School from July 2012 to June 2013 and various positions as Parochial Vicar at Sacred Heart Church, St Anthony of Padua Church, and Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church from July 2011 to June 2013. Father Alford began their ministry as a Transitional Deacon at St Elizabeth Church from June 2010 to June 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Theology from Kenrick Glennon Seminary (2006-2011) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (1998-2001).
