He is IMD Stephan Schmidheiny Professor of Family Enterprises Emeritus and Professor of Organizational Behavior Emeritus. He has served on the editorial boards of Family Business Review and Journal of Managerial Psychology. Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI). Winner of the Joseph Vago Cross Cultural Award of FFI. Prolific author on family business and general management topics. He has served on the Board of Directors of several private and publicly-held organizations in Europe and North America. Consultant to multinational corporations in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Has keynoted many international conferences and taught on numerous educational programs around the world.
