Giuseppe de Marco

Giuseppe De Marco is currently serving as the European Digital Identity Cooperation Group representative for Italy and Open Source Project Leader at the Dipartimento per la trasformazione digitale since February 2021, where responsibilities include managing open source projects and overseeing the National Digital Identity infrastructure. De Marco has held various roles at the Università degli Studi della Calabria, ranging from a software reuse coordinator to a developer focused on Single Sign-On solutions and networking services. Additionally, contributions to GARR as a member of the IDEM technical-scientific committee were pivotal in standard developments and feasibility assessments. With a robust educational background in Economic and Social Disciplines from the Università della Calabria, De Marco has extensive experience in software development, particularly in Python and Django frameworks, and a commitment to enhancing interoperability within digital identity frameworks.
