Matteo Fortini

Matteo Fortini is an experienced Open Source Project Leader at Dipartimento per la Trasformazione Digitale since February 2021, specializing in embedded Linux and FOSS as a consultant since May 2011. Previous roles include serving as Assessore for Comune di Cento from July 2016 to May 2021, and as a Senior Embedded Linux and Networking Software/Firmware Engineer at Sadel from January 2010 to January 2021. Matteo has a strong background in software engineering with positions at MTA spa, Digitek, and Dideco. Matteo holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and a Laurea in Computer Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and has gained international experience at the University of California, Davis.
