Laura Cruz Cabrera

Laura Cruz Cabrera has over 9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Laura began their career as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger in 2012, where they were responsible for hydraulic fracturing design, execution, and evaluation in unconventional shale reservoirs. In this role, they supervised crews performing hydraulic fracturing treatments, ensuring quality and safety in operations, and delivering outstanding results to customers. Laura also managed logistics on field location and had extensive knowledge in Quality assurance and control, HSE and auditing.

In addition, Laura was a District Technical Engineer at Schlumberger, where they were the technical focal contact point at the district level and new technology deployment. Laura also coordinated and ensured effective product line specific technical training for Field Engineers for both Pressure Pumping Services and Pump Down Perforating. Laura identified and captured opportunities for technical differentiation, creating value via new or existing technologies, and performed client and internal presentations.

Laura also served as an Automated Stimulation Project Coordinator at Schlumberger, where they coordinated activities, resources and information. Laura deployed automated pressure pumping units for 11 hydraulic fracturing crews, in two districts in North America and acted as a liaison between multiple services and departments within the company.

Finally, Laura took advantage of an incentivized leave of absence program offered by the company and traveled around the world. Laura created a detailed travel plan, within a specific budget to visit South America, Mexico, Guatemala, South East Asia and Eastern Europe. Laura visited 20+ countries and 50+ cities through land, air and water, and enjoyed and learned from different cultures and people around the globe.

Currently, Laura is a Product Manager - Wellsite Applications at Dipole Digital.

Laura Cruz Cabrera has a long history of education and certifications. Laura obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes between 2006 and 2011. In 2020 and 2021, they obtained a Data Analytics degree from Springboard. In addition, they obtained certifications from DataCamp, LinkedIn, and Scrum Alliance between 2020 and 2021. These certifications include Analyzing Business Data in SQL, Exploratory Data Analysis in SQL, Intermediate SQL, Introduction to SQL, Joining Data in SQL, Programming Foundations: Fundamentals, Project Management Foundations, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
