John Mullen

John Mullen is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as the CEO of Direct General Insurance since March 2011, John has previously held significant leadership roles, including President of Unitrin Specialty from 1996 to 2010 and Group Executive at American Financial Insurance Group from 1981 to 1996. John's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bethany College, earned from 1965 to 1969, and participation in a Master's program at Bowling Green State University from 1972 to 1973.
