Annie Shook began their professional career as an Assistant Attorney General at the Florida Office of the Attorney General in 2003. In this role, they represented the State of Florida in eminent domain proceedings and negotiated settlements with attorneys and unrepresented parties. Annie also consulted with appraisers, title companies, and other professionals involved in land acquisition.
From 2004 to 2006, Annie worked as an Attorney at Kelley, Kronenberg, Gilmartin, Fichtel & Wander, where they represented insured and uninsured employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation and employment litigation. Annie provided advice on various employment matters such as hiring, termination, benefits administration, and insurance coverage requirements.
From 2006 to 2008, Annie served as an Attorney at Pallo, Marks, Hernandez, Gechijian & DeMay, P.A., where they counseled large self-insured employers in workers' compensation and employment litigation. Annie also assisted small business owners in implementing risk management policies and procedures.
Annie joined Miller, Kagan, Rodriguez, and Silver in 2008 as an Attorney. During their tenure, they represented employers and insurance companies in various facets of case management, including mediations, hearings, and trials. Annie advised clients on risk management best practices and drafted employment documentation to aid clients' businesses. Additionally, they utilized cybertechnology for case management and communication with clients and parties.
From 2011 to 2012, Annie worked at Stiles, Taylor & Grace, P.A. as an Attorney. In this role, they represented one primary insurance company in litigation matters and managed a caseload consisting of high exposure claims. Annie collaborated with clients and medical professionals to develop strategic resolutions that reduced overall claim exposure and ensured HIPAA compliance.
Annie started their own practice as a Contract Attorney in 2012, during which they advised construction clients on real property acquisitions, contract disputes, liens, and OSHA compliance. Annie also contributed to document review projects involving corporate litigation matters.
In 2013, Annie became an Associate Attorney at Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez. Annie eventually rose to the position of Partner in 2015. While at the firm, they counseled national retail and manufacturing employers, public entities, a sports franchise, and insurance companies in workers' compensation litigation and related employment matters. Annie also provided guidance on collective bargaining, non-compete agreements, labor agreements, and implemented marketing strategies to promote firm growth.
Finally, Annie joined Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) in 2018 as an Attorney. In their role as Director, Claims Counsel, they oversaw the national personal injury and property damage litigation portfolio. Annie collaborated with Risk Management and outside counsel to administer personal injury and property damage claims and managed the collections litigation portfolio.

Annie Shook has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Michigan State University College of Law. Annie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film Studies from Wayne State University.
