Kazi Rayhan has been working in the field of 3D imaging, scanning and digital fabrication since 2016. In 2017, they began working at Direct Dimensions as a 3D Scanning Specialist, responsible for the imaging and scanning of artifacts, with a focus on artistic fabrication and cultural conservation. Kazi also began working at Open Works Baltimore as a Youth Educator and Digital Fabrications Technician. Additionally, they began working at Digital Harbor Foundation as a Megalab Program Specialist, instructing educational programs for youth that emphasize technology literacy, design sensibility and digital fabrication. In 2016, they began working at The Maryland Institute College of Art as a Digital Fabrications Student Technician, responsible for shop maintenance and the supervision of digital fabrication systems. Kazi also hosted workshops to help the student body develop their fabrication skills.
Kazi Rayhan attended Bronx High School of Science from 2008 to 2012. Kazi then attended Pratt Institute from 2012 to 2014, studying Fine/Studio Arts, General. Finally, they attended Maryland Institute College of Art from 2014 to 2017, earning an Interdisciplinary Sculpture + Humanistic Studies degree.
