Darren Hughes

Darren Hughes is a seasoned financial services professional with extensive experience in regulatory risk management and insurance. Currently serving as a Regulatory Risk Manager at Direct Line Group since December 2023, Darren previously held the position of Manager in the Insurance Risk & Regulation Team at EY from April 2012 to September 2023, where key responsibilities included conducting skilled person reviews and assessing customer outcomes for major financial institutions. Prior to this, Darren was a Senior Associate at the Financial Services Authority from April 1998 to April 2012, overseeing two of the UK’s largest insurance providers and leading essential assessments.
