Alastair Smith

Alastair Smith has extensive experience in procurement operations, currently serving as the Head of Procurement Operations at Direct Line Group since December 2014, after previously holding the position of Senior Procurement Manager in Legal Services at Royal Bank of Scotland Business from March 2012 to December 2014. Prior to this, Alastair spent over a decade at Unilever, where significant roles included Head of Indirects Procurement for the UK & Ireland, and Global Procurement Manager, overseeing substantial spend portfolios. Alastair's career began with a graduate management program at BAE Systems, followed by a role at BT as a Customer Services Advisor. Alastair holds a BSc Hons in Marketing from Lancaster University.
